It is one of the masterpieces of Safavid Iranian architecture, situated on the eastern side of Naghsh-i Jahan Square, Isfahan, Iran.
The construction of the mosque started in 1603 and finished in 1619. It was built by the famous architect Shaykh Bahai during the reign of Shah Abbas I of the Safavid dynasty.  GMS developed a lighting design for the facades and the dome of this precious monument (UNESCO Heritage).
